With a sound that draws comparisons to Thievery Corporation, J. Punch and Dave Moonshine, and just a touch of The West Exit, the band, Second Sky, brings chilled electronic soundscapes to their set, The Art of Influence. The entire project flows well by blending Indian, dub, and R&B seamlessly. Key songwriter and member, Billy Medina, handles the moody, sparse vocal treatments for the majority of the tracks here and he almost blends in too well with the music to where it’s difficult to hear what’s begin sung at times. That said, The Art of Influence, is a solid debut from this Lancaster, PA group.
