TuneCrush: Smoke Room “539A” & “Caramelism”

JW Richard April 16, 2012 2

Kyle Yerhot a.k.a. Smoke Room has released his tightest production yet with Caramelism. I’ve always appreciated Smoke Room for his affinity for dreamy and dubbed-out sounds with R&B samples laced through his productions. I could even call his music ‘minimal electronic R&B’–danceable grooves with a melancholic sense that borders a blues sensibility and only in few instances can be a bit brooding. He brings some nice uptempo cuts on this set as well that clock in a little longer than 5:00 each and give the Caramelism a nice variety of sound. Take a listen to these two cuts below, then go grab the whole project at Bandcamp.com. I believe this may be released on vinyl soon as well and I’ll post when details are available about that.
