CFCF – Exercises

Canadian Michael Silver performs under the moniker, CFCF, and his latest EP on Paper Bag Records entitled Exercises takes a cue from artists like Philip Glass and Ryuichi Sakamoto as the piano and synth sketches each come into their full bloom. The title of each track or “exercise” has a duplicate name as if tied to a memory and story just at or under three minutes. While most of the tracks here are instrumental, Silver himself takes to the microphone with a David Sylvan cover on, “Exercise 5 (September)”. Reflective and textual, these “Exercises” are a rich experience.
