Roland Satterwhite with a fresh take on “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love”

While researching for questions to ask another artist on another weblog around 2008, I was introduced to the music of Roland Satterwhite on the other artist’s Last.fm page. Born in Seattle, Roland was based in New York for a time and after hearing his 2005 album, Love and Discipline I became a fan. He’d since moved to Germany to perform and I’d catch some videos online and releases like 2008′s Ptolemy’s Guitar. I recently caught up with him again via his Facebook page and saw a performance of the classic, “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love”, and I simply had to share. It’s just his voice, violin, and spontaneous energy that deliver a spirited performance. Enjoy the Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields composition as performed by Roland Satterwhite, courtesy of www.form-art.tv
