TuneCrush: Evan Ireland “Potential”

JW Richard November 1, 2012 2

Little girl
Love yourself
More than you love anybody else
You’re special
You’ve got that potential
And i want you to say when it’s too much
I want you to stay young

I would never hold you back
I want you to be happy again
I would never hold you back
I want you to be happy again

American fans of Burial, James Blake, and 2562 should add the tracks of Chicago-based producer, Evan Ireland to their collection. His latest release, 10 Songs About The Last 6 Months, is an atmospheric and dreamy set of crisp beats and dubbed-out piano and guitar. His vocal production further underlines the melancholy feeling of the project. Using his own vocals and a sliver of Toni Braxton for the hook, here’s “Potential” from Evan Ireland. The project is available now at Bandcamp.
